The National Transparency Authority (NTA) and the Laboratory for the Study of Transparency, Corruption and Economic Crime of the Law School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, are co-organizing a conference entitled: "Fighting corruption in an international, european and national context: modern challenges for the rule of law" on 9 and 10 May 2025, at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Thessaloniki (Tsimiski 29).
The co-organization of the conference confirms the Authority's consistent focus on promoting institutional synergies with the academic community in the context of the collective effort to fight corruption.
During the 2nd Session, entitled "Anti-corruption mechanisms in public and civil law", Mr. George Kasapas, Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Behavioural Analysis of the NTA, will present the structure, content and results of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2022-2025 and the challenges for the design of the Strategic Framework 2026-2030.
The Conference's sessions are:
1st Session: Prevention and suppression of corruption at international and European level: reasons and dimensions of tackling the phenomenon
2nd Session: Anti-corruption mechanisms in public and civil law
3nd Session: Criminal approach to corruption in the public and private sectors: key problems of modern national legislation
4th Session: The procedural approach to corruption crimes
