At the webinar organised by the National Transparency Authority (NTA) in collaboration with the General Secretariat of Sports on the occasion of the launch of the National Sports Integrity Platform (E.P.ATHL. A), more than 150 members of sports federations and clubs, organising authorities as well as professionals from the public and private sector, had the opportunity to be informed on how the platform works, the necessity of recording or updating the Codes of Ethics and Conduct and the role of the integrity officer in federations.
The National Transparency Authority is one of the five founding members of the E.PATHL.A. which was set up in the context of the implementation of the Council of Europe's Macolin Convention and represents an opportunity to implement an ambitious reform in the field of sport as well as a useful tool to enhance transparency and prevent manipulation of sporting events.
The audience attending the conference had the opportunity to participate in an online voting through the online platform "Mentimeter" with the results fuelling an interesting exchange of views among the speakers and demonstrating the need for the implementation of the E.P.ATHL.A. platform.
