The University of Crete and the National Transparency Authority signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the main focus on prevention (internal audit) and awareness-raising actions.
In particular, the actions provided for in the Memorandum are summarised as follows:
- Prevention actions which specifically concern:
- Provision of expertise and advisory services by the NTA on internal audit and strengthening of integrity mechanisms
- Provision of expertise by the NTA on the development of a methodology for the management of corruption and fraud risks
- Jointly undertake actions for the establishment and staffing of an Independent Integrity Advisor's Office, as provided for in v. 4795/2021
- Awareness-raising actions, in particular by exploiting synergies in the design and implementation of training seminars and actions to raise awareness and promote a culture of transparency and integrity.
