The National Transparency Authority is responsible for overseeing the on-site assessment of Greece by the OECD in relation to the implementation of the Anti-Bribery Convention (officially the Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials in International Business Transactions). This is the 4th evaluation of the country and will take place from 28 September 2021 to 1 October 2021 at the NTA premises.
Over the course of the four-day assessment period, the OECD Anti-Bribery Team, comprising three OECD staff members, two evaluators from Korea and two evaluators from Lithuania (prosecutors and senior civil servants), will engage in collaborative meetings with over eighty (80) representatives from public and private sector entities. In particular, prosecutors and judicial officials, MPs, executives of private companies and public organisations, representatives of professional associations, chambers of commerce, civil society organisations and journalists will participate in twenty (20) different thematic sessions, contributing their experiences to the relevant discussions. The findings and recommendations of this evaluation will be of particular importance as they will be analysed by a number of key stakeholders, including international organisations, national governments, the academic community and professionals from public and private organisations that monitor developments in our country.
