With the participation of 217 students from all over the country and a total of 157 artworks, the Panhellenic Student Competition on the theme "Integrity Leaders of Tomorrow", announced by the NTA in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs and the Institute of Educational Policy (IEP), has been completed.

In total, 37 schools from all over the country (Attica, Thessaloniki, Patras, Sparta, Thebes, Corfu, Serres, Lamia, Mytilene, Kavala, Pella, Corinth, Ioannina, Astros, Rhodes and Katerini) were represented in the Competition, whose students had the opportunity to express themselves through creative means (e.g. painting, collage, poster, video, written text, poem) and to reflect in an original way the values of respect, justice, integrity and solidarity. The aim of the initiative was to gradually familiarize the student community with the terms of ethics, transparency and accountability, as well as the benefits for society as a whole of strengthening mechanisms for preventing and deterring phenomena of corruption and maladministration.

The winners of the primary schools will receive innovative educational material created specifically for this initiative by the NTA in cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and approved by the Institute of Educational Policy. Meanwhile, the secondary school students will travel to Vienna (health conditions permitting), to visit the UNODC headquarters and present their projects.

Finally, all the student’s projects will form the visual material for a special art-exhibition to be hosted in NTA’s headquarters. This action is part of a series of educational initiatives that the Authority gradually implementing in order to raise awareness and educate students — the citizens of tomorrow — on issues of transparency, integrity and accountability.
