During the period 26-28.06.2020 the National Transparency Authority in cooperation with police officers of Hellenic Police and in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Deputy Ministry of Civil Protection and Crisis Management carried out audits in 21 municipalities across the territory with the aim of correctly complying with the measures to limit the spread of SARS COV 2. A total of 211 points of interest were checked (beach bars, gyms and Stores of Health Interest, in 26 of which infringements were recorded (12.32 %) and fines totalling EUR 111,450 were imposed mainly for the non-use of a mask by the work staff and for exceeding the proportion of persons per sq.m. licensed surface. The suspension of operation has also been sanctioned for a period of 15-75 days in nine (9) cases
The National Transparency Authority, in order to protect public health and ensure healthy competition, carried out checks on three organised beaches in Attica and one in Kavala, since due to the season they are a destination that selects a large percentage of citizens. From the control, the following phenomena of violation of protection measures were raised:
a) exceed the proportion of persons per sqm licensed surface
B) exceed the number of persons and recliners under umbrellas (more than two);
C) development of umbrellas on an unlicensed surface (in space for sports)
D) non-respect of distances between the axes of umbrellas
INFRINGEMENTS AND FINES IMPOSED BY AREA:
Municipality of Markopoulo Mesogaia:
A restaurant fined EUR 10,000 and a 15-day suspension for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface
A coffee bar was fined EUR 2,000 and a 15-day suspension for staying at the bar
A (1) fine of EUR (150) was imposed in a restaurant for not using a mask by work staff
Fines were imposed on three organised beaches from EUR 5.000 to EUR 7.000 and a suspension of 15 days
Municipality of Paggaio – P.E. Kavala:
A fine of EUR 5,000 was imposed on an organised beach and a 15-day suspension for exceeding the number of people and bedding under umbrellas (more than two)
Municipality of Athens (Monastiraki-Psirri-Gazi):
A restaurant was fined EUR 15,000 and a 15-day suspension was imposed for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm licensed and 1650 (11×150) euros for not using a mask by work staff
In a bar a (1) fine of EUR 150 was imposed, for not using a mask by the work staff
Municipality of Heraklion:
In a café-bar fined EUR 10,000 and a 15-day suspension for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface
A fine of EUR 2,000 was imposed in a cafeteria and a 15-day suspension was imposed for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface

Two (2) fines of EUR 150 were imposed on a restaurant for not using a mask by work staff
Municipality of Thessaloniki:
A (1) fine of EUR 150 was imposed in a restaurant for not using a mask by the work staff.
Municipality of Serres:
A total of four (4) fines of EUR 150 for not using a mask by work staff were imposed on two CHRs.
Municipality of Xylokastro-Eurustine:
Two restaurants imposed a total fine of EUR 6,000 and a suspension of 15 days each for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface
Municipality of Ioannina:
Fines totalling EUR 5.000 were imposed in café-bars and 15 days suspension for exceeding the ratio of persons/sq.m. of licensed surface
A coffee bar was fined EUR 3.000 and a 15-day suspension for customer stay at the bar
A fine of EUR 3,000 was imposed in a cafeteria and a 15-day suspension for staying at the bar
Three (3) fines of EUR 150 were imposed on two fast food establishments for not using a mask by the work staff.
Municipality of Northern Kynouria:
A restaurant fined EUR 10,000 and a 15-day suspension for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface
Municipality of Loutraki – Perachora – St. Theodoron:
A restaurant fined EUR 10.000 and a 15-day suspension for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface
