On November 18, 2025, the National Transparency Authority (NTA), in collaboration with the Municipality of Athens, held a webinar on “Risk Management in First-Level Local Government: Tools and Challenges”.
The seminar was organized by the General Directorate for Integrity and Accountability, while the presentation of the topics was undertaken by the Directorate for Corruption Risk Assessment and Specific Sectoral Anti-Corruption Strategies.
During the presentation, the key aspects of the institutional framework for risk management were examined, as well as practical tools and illustrative examples, highlighting the importance of integrating risk management into municipal operations and decision-making processes.
The presentations were delivered by the Head of the Directorate for Corruption Risk Assessment and Specific Sectoral Anti-Corruption Strategies, as well as the Heads of the Corruption Risk Assessment and Specific Sectoral Anti-Corruption Strategies Departments.
Through targeted prevention initiatives, NTA actively supports municipalities in strengthening integrity mechanisms, promoting greater transparency, meaningful accountability, and more effective public administration.
