An action with a total public expenditure of 1.554.364,80€ is being implemented by the NTA under the National Plan with projects submitted to the Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) and approved under No 16952, which concerns the strengthening of the National Anti-Corruption Agency (total public expenditure of 12.451.260,36€).

The action consists of two projects:

  1. Project entitled: "Actions for the development and introduction of modern methods, tools and digital applications, as well as training, certification and acquisition of specialized skills for more effective prevention and fight against corruption", with a total public expenditure of 1.442.764,80€.

In particular, this project includes the following sub-projects:

  1. Development of a comprehensive methodological framework for conducting forensic investigations and implementing relevant education and training actions,
  2. Development of an external reporting channel for persons reporting violations of EU law (whistleblowers)
  • Information Security Management System, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 27001:2022; and
  1. Specialized training and awarding of professional certification in priority areas for preventing and fighting corruption.
  1. Project entitled: Technical Assistance Subprojects for the acceleration of the ΝΤΑ investments’ implementation, with a total public expenditure of 111.600,00€.

     More specifically, two sub-projects are to be implemented:

  1. A Legal Support Consultant Sub-project for all the investments to be implemented by the NTA with the funding of the RRF, and
  2. A preparatory Sub-project, which concerns the carrying out of a survey/study to assess the available alternatives for the single hosting of the NTA's offices in the Region of Attica.

It is noted that the implementation of the second sub-project (1st Project) on the Development of an external reporting channel for persons reporting violations of EU law has already started.

Specifically, it is about the operation of a secure digital application, which will allow anonymous and two-way communication of the citizen who wishes to make a complaint, regarding information obtained in the context of his/her work activities and relating to violations of European Union law.

The contract for the Subproject is for a total budget of 21.080,00€, has been signed on 12/7/2023 and is expected to be completed in two months from its signature.

The action is implemented under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan Greece 2.0 with funding from the European Union - NextGenerationEU.
