At the online conference organised by the National Transparency Authority for the International Anti-Corruption Day, 400 professionals from public and private institutions had the opportunity to follow the results of the survey conducted on 19-21.11.2020 on citizens' attitudes towards corruption issues. The workshop was attended by a large number of educators since the 2nd session was related to awareness-raising activities for the younger generation on issues of public integrity and transparency. The results of the survey were commented by Mr.  Katrougalos, Mr. Vettas and Mr. Homenidis, who commented on the phenomenon of corruption in Greece, at a time when the planet and the country are being tested by the pandemic and the need to strengthen transparency in all aspects of public and private life is crucial.

The Governor of the National Transparency Authority, Mr. Binis, presented the basic data of the survey "Attitudes and perceptions of the Greek public opinion towards corruption", conducted on behalf of the Authority by About People Company in cooperation with Public Issue Company.

The Minister of Education and Religious Affairs, Mrs. Kerameos, stressed the importance of implementing innovative actions to raise awareness among the student community on issues of integrity and accountability as a means of preventing and deterring corruption. The Minister also referred to the cooperation between the Ministry of Education and the National Transparency Authority through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement, indicating the main lines of action. In the same session, the endurance road coach and champion, Mrs. Maria Polyzou, highlighted the link between ethics and integrity and sport and athletics, especially with regard to the young generation. The Governor of the Authority and the Head of the General Directorate for Integrity and Accountability, Ms. Maria Konstantinidou, presented four specific actions to raise awareness among the student community: the announcement of the Student Competition for Student Creativity on the theme: "Integrity Leaders of Tomorrow", the animation series "The Zorbs" and the comic strip "San Servolo", as well as the educational action Digital Storytelling for Integrity-Safe2gether (digital story telling).
