On May 16, 2021 the Inspectors-Auditors of the National Transparency Authority (NTA) conducted on-site inspections at examination centres in Attica (3rd High School of Peristeri), Thessaloniki (15th High School), and Larissa (Music School). The inspections took place on the first day of the examinations for acquiring the Certificate of Knowledge Adequacy for Naturalization procedure (PEGP). The aim was to evaluate the safety nets, transparency, and effectiveness of the examination process for acquiring Greek citizenship.
NTA’s Inspectors-Auditors checked on-the-spot participants' presence randomly, verified compliance with COVID-19 measures, and observed on the spot compliance with the individual stages of the process according to relevant institutional framework requirements.
The NTA collaborates closely with the Ministry of Interior and General Secretariat of Citizenship to strengthen integrity, transparency, and effectiveness in critical functions related to the naturalization processes of foreigners and expatriate Greek citizens.
