A team of auditors- inspectors of the National Transparency Authority, in cooperation with the General Secretariat for Sports of the Ministry of Culture, conducted special on-site inspections on Sunday, 18 April 2021, at football matches of the Super League and Football League in Athens (Ap. Nikolaidis Stadium and O.A.K.A.), Thessaloniki (Toumba Stadium) and Volos (Neapoli Stadium), focusing on compliance with measures to limit the spread of COVID-19. No violations of the prescribed measures were found and recommendations were made for the proper implementation of the necessary protocols".
Inspections specifically covered:
- Checking incoming lists.
- Carrying out the required molecular tests.
- Ensuring that the distances between officials in the stands were respected.
- Enforcing the use of masks.
- Ensuring that catering areas/snack bars were not in operation.
- Mandatory temperature checks and use of hand sanitisers at entrances to sports facilities.
Compliance audits for pandemic restriction measures will continue in the period ahead covering all permitted sports activities that operate under special protocols.
