Following a complaint, in February 2021, an NTA investigators’ team conducted an audit in a municipality and the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Enterprise of the Argolida Region (Peloponnese/ Greece) on the legality of the procedure for the supply of fuel for the municipality’s vehicles for the years 2018-2019.
As to the actions and omissions of the Municipality, for the period from 01.01.2019 to 07.03.2019 while the Municipality did not have an active contract with an economic operator for the fuel supply, it appears that the Municipality procured an unspecified amount of fuel from an economic operator following verbal instructions from the Mayor and Deputy Mayors to the Municipality’s drivers who went to its petrol station and procured fuel for the needs of their vehicles without receiving legal documents to prove
