The first meeting of the Central Coordinating Consultative Committee for the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan 2022-2025 (NACAP) was held today via teleconference, chaired by the Governor of the National Transparency Authority (NTA), Mr. Angelos Binis. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Presidency of the Government, the Ministries of Finance, Interior, Justice and Digital Governance. The Hellenic Court of Audit participated in the Commission's work as an observer.
The NTA, as the Authority responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan 2022-2025 (NACAP), presented the structure and strategic objectives of the NACAP. It also presented the tools developed to systematically monitor and measure the results of the intervention.
The participants acknowledged the importance of the NACAP for a holistic response to the issue and expressed their common commitment to effective cooperation, looking forward to the formulation of a coherent Action Plan that will fulfil the country's international commitments and respond to citizens' demand for integrity, accountability and transparency.
In the near future, a series of bilateral meetings with political decision-makers and representatives of civil society will be held in order to define the actions to be included in the National Anti-Corruption Action Plan for the period 2022-2025.
