The Ministry of Interior and the National Transparency Authority (NTA), in collaboration with the Training Institute of the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDDA), are launching two new and innovative certification training programmes in the implementation of Law 4795/2021 on the Internal Audit System in Public Sector and the new institution of Integrity Advisor in Public Administration.
On Wednesday, July 7, the start of the training program "CERTIFICATION OF INTERNAL AUDITOR COMPETENCE IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR"
The aim of the programme is to strengthen and certify the knowledge and skills of public sector professionals on the structural elements and individual operation of the internal audit system, with an emphasis on the activity and mission of internal audit units. The structure of the programme is the result of the cooperation between the main audit bodies and institutions in our country in order to develop a complete programme based on national legislation, the characteristics of public administration and international audit standards and practices.
The training program on Internal Auditor Competence in the Public Sector is addressed to permanent employees of Public Sector covered by Part A of Law 4795/2021, as well as to employees under indefinite-term private law contracts, uniformed personnel, and specialised scientific staff of these Bodies.
On Friday 9/7 the start of the training programme "CERTIFICATION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF INTEGRITY ADVISORS"
The Greek Public Administration is a pioneer in introducing the institution of the Integrity Advisor. This programme has been structured by high-level experts from public and private institutions who have worked on developing a coherent programme suitable for equipping the personnel who will be called upon to serve this new institution with the necessary knowledge and skills.
The programme is addressed to permanent civil servants or civil servants with indefinite-term private law contracts, political administrative staff with University Education or Technological Education, or special scientific staff, who belong organically to Ministries or to Independent Services, or to Independent Authorities or to Decentralised Administrations, or to Legal entities of public law, or to Organisations of Local Government of first and second grade.
After successful completion of the programme, interested parties have the opportunity to register in the Register of Integrity Advisors of Article 26 of Law 4795/2021.
Officials wishing to participate in the above training programmes are invited, if they have not already done so, to register in advance in the online service for participation in training programmes of the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government, https://online.ekdd.gr/OnlineWeb. They should select and apply for the programmes they are interested in under the section Public Administration and Governance:
