The NTA Governor, Mr. Angelos Binis, visited Sofia on the 25 and 26 August, where he met with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rumen Radev, the acting Minister of Justice, Mr. Yanaki Stoilov, and the head of the Bulgarian Anti – Corruption Commission, Mr. Sotir Tsatsarov. The Director of the European Public Law Organization (EPLO), Professor Spyridon Flogaitis, also participated in the proceedings.
During the meetings, the NTA Governor presented the organizational structure and the main pillars of the Authority's operation, while he outlined the axes and priorities of the new National Anti-Corruption Action Plan (NACAP 2022-2025).
During the working meetings held over the two-day visit of Mr. Binis, actions were implemented to exchange know-how and good practices between the two countries on the prevention and investigation of corruption phenomena. The two parties agreed to further strengthen their cooperation by signing a Memorandum that will include specific programmes and actions.
