The National Transparency Authority (NTA), as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA), participated in the Committee’s first meeting of 2026, which took place on May 13, 2026, in Budapest.
At the same time, NTA co-organized and participated in the 1st IAACA European Regional Conference (May 14–15, 2026), in cooperation with Italy’s ANAC, Hungary’s Integrity Authority, and Hong Kong’s ICAC.
The conference brought together representatives of institutional bodies, international organizations, and experts in the field of transparency and anti-corruption. Discussions focused on the new European Anti-Corruption Directive, the use of artificial intelligence and digital tools, enhancing the effectiveness of audit authorities, and raising awareness among the younger generation.
NTA was represented by officials from the Directorate of Strategic Planning and Behavioral Analysis and the General Directorate for Raising Awareness and Community Relations, who participated with presentations and recommendations both in the main sessions and in the thematic workshop on evaluating the effectiveness of anti-corruption authorities, with an emphasis on the international experience of the ICAC and the Hong Kong Department of Justice.
