An honorable distinction for Greece is the election of the NTA Governor, Mr Angelos Binis, to the Senior Officials for Public Integrity Committee Bureau of the OECD.
The Committee aims to develop the OECD's strategy for enhancing public integrity and fight against corruption. Senior officials from 36 OECD member states and partner countries, including Brazil, Tunisia, and China, participate in the Committee's work.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in an interactive exchange of good practices and programmes that have been successfully implemented at regional or national level and to discuss innovative approaches, such as the use of behavioural science to promote transparency and accountability. In 2021, the Committee will evaluate measures to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. They will also focus on the effective and transparent use of financial programmes and incentives for economic recovery and support for those most affected by the pandemic.
