The National Transparency Authority has been re-elected to the Executive Committee of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA).The re-election of NTA was announced at the 14th General Assembly of the Association (https://iaaca.net/news/iaaca-news/iaaca-concluded-14th-general-meeting-6-february), which took place online on Thursday, 6 February 2025.The renewal of Greece's representation in the IAACA's highest decision-making body is a testament to the IAACA's global efforts to combat corruption effectively.
In her statement, Mrs. Alexandra Rogkakou, NTA Interim Governor and Head of the Inspections and Audits Unit, made the following observations:
- The importance of the exchange of good practices and know-how to strengthen the operational capacity of the audit mechanisms
- The NTA's commitment to promoting transnational cooperation schemes aimed at strengthening integrity and accountability nets
The IACAA represents the world's largest global network of anti-corruption authorities, with more than 150 members worldwide. The Association's primary objective is to promote the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption by offering advice and technical support to its members.
In January 2022, the NTA was elected as a full member of the Association's Executive Committee for the first time.
