“Internal Audit in Public Administration: Legislative framework – Implementation – Outlook”

The National Transparency Authority (NTA) is organizing a conference titled: “Internal Audit in Public Administration: Legislative framework – Implementation – Outlook”, on Thursday, June 26, 2025. The event is addressed to the leaders of public sector entities, executives of Internal Audit Units (IAUs), and other officials from public administration bodies.
The purpose of the conference is to present the “Report on the Implementation of Part A of Law 4795/2021 concerning the Internal Control System in Public Sector Entities”, which was drafted by the National Transparency Authority (NTA). Emphasis will be placed on the critical role of the leaders of entities who have supported Internal Audit, thereby contributing to effective operation of the Internal Control System in their organizations. Additionally, the conference aims to highlight the work performed by the Internal Audit Units, as well as the challenges they face in fulfilling their mission in the exercise of their mandate.
This NTA initiative aims to shape a shared vision for the continuous empowering of the Internal Audit function and the Internal Audit System and to promote accountability, transparency and effective governance.
