On May 18, 2026, the Governor of the National Transparency Authority (NTA), Ms. Alexandra Rogakou, and the Director General of the National School of Judiciary (NJS), Ms. Taxiarchia Komvou, Counselor of State, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation at the Office of the President of the Council of State, Mr. Michael Pikramenos. Also present on behalf of NTA was the Director General of Integrity and Accountability, Ms. Mary Konstantinidou. The Memorandum aims to establish a multi-level collaboration between the two institutions. The objective is to promote the training of both NSJ trainees who are to assume positions as judicial officers and court clerks, as well as the ongoing professional development of serving judicial officers and court clerks, in areas such as:
- the prevention, deterrence, detection, and suppression of fraud and corruption,
- the management, evaluation, and investigation of complaints,
- the conduct of audits, re-audits, inspections, and investigations within General Government bodies and services,
- the operation of internal control systems and financial risk management
- disciplinary law governing the staff of General Government agencies and services,
- the integrity and ethics of judicial officers and court officials,
- the verification of asset declarations (“source of wealth”).
In this context, they will co-organize lectures, workshops, seminars, conferences, and other academic events; exchange trainers, trainees, and educational materials; undertake joint publications and editions; and seek joint cooperation with academic institutions, research centers, international organizations, public services, and other scientific and social bodies, provided that the Parties find a convergence of objectives and interests.
