A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed, on 10 February 2022, by the European Chief Prosecutor, Laura Codruța Kövesi and the NTA Governor, Mr Angelos Binis.
The MoC’s purpose is to define the cooperation framework and procedures between the NTA and the European Public Prosecutor's Office.
In particular, the channels for the information exchange and the conditions for the provision of scientific and technical assistance by the NTA to support of the European Public Prosecutor's Office's investigations concerning the protection of the financial interests of the European Union, were specified. The two parties agreed to organise periodic technical meetings at both operational and administrative level, as well as seminars, training and skills development workshops on issues of common interest.
