On Friday 12.06.2020, the inspectors of the National Transparency Authority conducted audits during the evening and midnight hours at nightclubs in Patra and Rethymno Crete, aiming at correct compliance with the restrictive measures to prevent the spread of SARS COV-2. During the audit infringements were recorded and fines totaling 32,000€ were imposed and the suspension of operation was sanctioned for thirty days (30) for non-compliance with the correct proportion of persons per store surface.

PATRA: The control carried out from 23:00 to 04:00 in the morning at five (5) total Health Interest Stores (bar) of the Municipality of Patra. Two (2) nightclubs were imposed administrative fines of 12,000€ and 10,000€ respectively, for exceeding the number of people who could be on site based on their surface, as well as the measure of their suspension for thirty (30) days.

RETHYMNO: During the control carried out from 23:00 to 04:00 in the morning at six (6) total Health Interest Shops (bar) of the Municipality of Rethymno Crete a fine of 10.000€ was imposed on a nightclub for exceeding the number of people who could be in the area based on its surface, as well as the measure of suspension of operation for thirty (30) days. Checks continue throughout the territory with the aim of protecting public health, ensuring healthy competition and supporting workers.
