On 5 August 2020, the decision to include projects with a total budget of €676,544.00 in the Operational Programme "Public Sector Reform" was issued with the NTA as the beneficiary. In just 11 months since its establishment, the NTA is utilising resources of the NSRF 2014-2020 for the first time in the current programming period for the fight against corruption that remained unused by the audit institutions abolished by Law No. 4622/2019.
EU Structural Funds will contribute to the programming and implementation of interventions to upgrade the operational functioning and develop the NTA into a modern, flexible and efficient audit authority providing high value-added services to citizens and businesses.
At the same time, intensive work is ongoing for the preparation and submission for co-financing, within the third quarter of 2020, of the next set of actions with the main objective of strengthening the operational capabilities of the Authority's audit pillar. This success was made possible thanks to the hard work and systematic effort of the NTA's staff and the Special Service’s for the Management of the Operational Programme "Restructuring of the Public Sector" personnel.
The NTA remains fully committed to implementing its Strategic Plan towards a comprehensive framework for fighting corruption and strengthening public accountability.
