During the period 03-05.06.2020 the National Transparency Authority in cooperation with police officers of Hellenic Police and in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Deputy Ministry of Civil Protection and Crisis Management carried out audits in 15 municipalities across the territory with the aim of correctly complying with the measures to limit the spread of SARS COV-2. A total of 195 points of interest were checked (organised beaches, intercity bus and HIS) in 19 of which infringements were recorded (9.74 %) and fines totaling EUR 33,150 were imposed mainly for not using a mask by the workforce and for exceeding the proportion of persons per surface in the controlled shops. A 15-day suspension penalty was also imposed on 5 HIS.
INFRINGEMENTS AND FINES IMPOSED BY AREA:
Organised beaches:

In the Municipality of Lefkada three (3) beaches (Gyra, Agios Ioannis, Kathisma) were checked without any violations.

Three (3) beaches were checked in the Municipality of Spata-Artemis, without finding any infringements.
Long-distance bus:

In the Municipality of Volos three (3) routes of the Intercity Bus Station of Magnesia were checked without finding any infringements in their entirety.
Health Interest Stores
Municipality of Larissa:

Two (2) restaurants were fined three (3) fines totaling EUR 450 for not using a mask by the work staff.

A (1) restaurant was imposed a (1) fine of 3,000€ and a suspension of 15 days for non-reliance between the tables.

A (1) bar was imposed (1) a fine of 3,000€ and a suspension of 15 days for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface.
Municipality of Chalandri:

Two (2) bars were imposed (2) fines totaling 3,000€ and suspension of 15 days for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface each.
Municipality of Kifisia:

Four (4) HIS stores (coffee bar, cafeteria, bar) imposed four (4) fines totaling 600€ for not using a mask by the work staff.
Municipality of Heraklion:

A (1) coffee bar was imposed (1) a fine of 15,000€ and a suspension of 15 days for exceeding the ratio of persons/sqm of licensed surface.
Municipality of Volos:
-
Two (2) HIS stores (coffee bar and restaurant) were imposed two (2) fines totaling 300€ for not using a mask by the work staff.
Municipality of Spata-Artemida:

Twenty-three (23) fines were imposed on three (3) restaurants and one (1) café bar, with a total value of 3,450€ for not using a mask by the work staff.

Seven (7) fines totaling 1050€ for not using a mask by the work staff were imposed on one (1) fast food establishment.
Municipality of Thermi:

A (1) cafeteria imposed (two) 2 fines totaling 300€ for not using a mask by the work staff.
