At the opening of the two-day conference organised by the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government (EKDD) on “Upgrading and Reorienting Skills in the Modern Staff State", the Governor of the National Transparency Authority (NTA) referred to the provisions of the Staff State Act that introduced a comprehensive framework for enhancing transparency and accountability by also establishing the National Transparency Authority.
He praised the cooperation of the EKDD with the Ministry of Interior, the NTA, the Hellenic Court of Audit and the Ministry of Finance for developing a comprehensive approach to introduce all the building blocks of the Internal Audit System in the public administration with the enactment of Law 4795/2021, the launch of two innovative programmes for the development of skills and certification of Internal Auditors and Integrity Advisors and the development of standard tools and methodologies. He pointed out that: "The staff state created stable channels of communication between agencies implementing similar and overlapping actions, and in many cases they also operated competitively".
