A Memorandum of Cooperation (Moc) between the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (Hellenic DPA) and the NTA was signed on 19 May 2023, by the President of the Authority, Mr Konstantinos Menoudakos and the NTA Interim Governor, Ms Alexandra Rogkakou.
The two Authorities agreed to develop closer ties, through the exchange of information, know-how and the exploitation of their knowledge and experience for citizens’ benefit, the economy and the public interest in general, while ensuring citizens’ freedoms and rights and in particular data protection issues.
The Heads of the two Authorities, Mr Konstantinos Menoudakos and Ms Alexandra Rogkakou, said the following:
“In the field of audits and investigation carried out throughout the Greek territory and in the context of developing standards to fight corruption and enhance transparency and accountability, the issue of information and personal data protection must be considered as an inseparable and integrated unit that requires coherent, combined and complementary application. This is a very important factor in deepening the already close cooperation between the Hellenic DPA and the NTA, which will bring benefits for more effective fulfillment of their mission”.
